The Cotswolds of Taylor Swift’s Wildest Dreams

Posted: Fri, 21st Jun 2024

When your life is full of sequins, sparkle and glitterballs, performing to thousands of adoring fans on the tour of a lifetime, you can understand why Taylor Swift has chosen to retreat to the slower pace of the Cotswolds between her shows. With three Swifties in the Bolthole Retreats office, we’re very excited to have her in the neighbourhood. We hope she’s as enchanted by the Cotswolds as we are!

It’s rumoured that she’s booked a £3,000 a night private property on the outskirts of Chipping Norton. Making this her home-from-home between tour dates she’ll be amongst glorious countryside surroundings. It’s the perfect spot for taking a breather and resting up before heading back on stage. Known for its honey-coloured buildings and picture perfect scenery, celebrities are drawn here from all over the world. Because of the highlights of exclusive Soho Farmhouse and chocolate box villages nearby this wonderland has become a bolthole for A-listers.

While you may not be selling out stadium tours in your spare time like Taylor, you can still leave busy life behind. Shake it off, and stay in a sumptuous Cotswold cottage. Just outside Chipping Norton, Great Tew is a picture-perfect getaway. As a famous cat lover, we’re sure Taylor will adore the charming ‘Slow! Kittens’ road sign!

Lily Cottage and Thatch on the Green have equally beautiful, thatched roofs and sit within this idyllic village. Enjoy a taste of exclusive Cotswold life with Soho Farmhouse practically on your doorstep, the popular village pub and deliciously exceptional Quince and Clover café. There’s a chance you’ll pass the Beckham’s while you’re out! We’re sure you’ll also see blacked out vehicles taking VIPs to the Farmhouse for the day.

If you’ve been lucky enough to get your hands on tickets to the Era’s tour then you’ll have seen Taylor in all her glorious style. From sequinned body suits to flowing gowns, she knows all too well how to dress for a performance. As someone with such a keen eye for detail, we think she’d love these enviously gorgeous cottages. Just outside Chipping Norton they’re the perfect choice for fine dining. Taylor can visit Daylesford and explore the local pubs which we know she loves. She’s previously been to the Fleece Inn at Bretforton for pie and chips!
