Full Description
Lying in a quiet setting just a mile from Charlbury, The Fold offers the best of both worlds. A place to stay surrounded by countryside, with glimpses of the valley beyond, the acid yellow fields and the air filled with birdsong, yet with myriad attractions close by. Inside you’ll find vaulted ceilings and pale walls, all adding to the feeling of calm with vibrant pops of colour from modern art and pretty textiles. The sunny terrace tucked away at the back of The Fold is a place to linger over your morning coffee as you ease into the day with the sounds of the wind in the trees as your backdrop. It’s also a lovely spot for alfresco dining.
The Fold is on one level with an open-plan kitchen, dining and living space. To one end, the well-appointed kitchen features everything you need for a self-catering stay, whilst the reverse of the kitchen island doubles as bench seating for the dining area. The other end is given over to the cosy living area with a plump sofa, comfy wingback chair and a Smart TV. Beyond are two pretty bedrooms, one king size and one twin and the bathroom.
A gravel path leads around The Fold from the front door to the rear where against a backdrop of the neighbouring woodland, you’ll find a private terrace with rustic outdoor furniture. A wooden table and chairs offer a spot for outside dining and drinks, and the potted olive trees add a hint of the Mediterranean. It’s a very peaceful place to sit and relax. To the front of The Fold is parking for 1-2 cars.

We had a great stay at The Fold and used it as a base for a week away exploring the Cotswolds. The location is ideal, with a vast range of great walks, pubs and restaurants within a 10-15 minute drive. Accommodation is in good condition, in lovely grounds, and it was great that it was pet friendly. Thanks for having us!
