Nestled within the Euridge Estate, Peartree Cottage sits on a tiny lane with just two other cottages for company. This is a pretty and rural spot with far-reaching views across the valley and cows and sheep dotted in the fields below.
Built-in 1877 this charming stone cottage is filled with character and original features including huge sash windows and high ceilings. On the ground floor you’ll find a pretty country-style living/dining room with huge windows, a calming colour scheme which is pleasing to the eye and a cosy fireplace with a wood-burning stove for chilly nights and rainy afternoons. There’s also a compact but well-equipped kitchen, the bathroom which features a bath and a separate shower and a handy cloakroom with an extra toilet. Head up the stairs and there are three comfortable bedrooms with views over the front and rear of the cottage.
The large, gently sloping garden is shared with any guests who may be staying in the adjacent Bluebell Cottage, but there is plenty of space for all including a garden table and chairs and a charcoal barbecue. Younger guests will love the space to run around in the country air, older visitors can sit and soak up the view, and it’s a wonderful spot for wildlife with deer and hares often seen along with hawks and red kites.
