Owl’s End is a cosy, rural, two-bedroom, one-bathroom, semi-detached barn conversion that sleeps 5 guests. The cottage has a woodburner and garden and shares a large courtyard with three other holiday homes, which form part of Oosland Barns Holiday Lets at the heart of a family-run arable farm. Nestled within walking distance of the historic Warwickshire village of Bidford-on-Avon, which was famously visited by William Shakespeare on his travels from nearby Stratford-upon-Avon, just 8 miles away.
Owl’s End is a red brick barn that has been converted into a cosy and comfortable, sleeps-5 holiday let that sits alongside The Granary, another Oosland Barns holiday let. The cottage is set in a gravel courtyard at the centre of a working arable farm, just half a mile from the River Avon and the pretty village of Bidford-upon-Avon.
The barns and the fields around were purchased by the owner’s family in the 1960s. In the 1980s the barns became grain stores, and the courtyard in front of the cottage was covered over with large steel bins for extra grain storage. In 2012, the grain barns were converted, and the grain store was taken down, and the full conversion to Oosland Barns Holiday Lets was completed in 2015.
Inside, the cottage is decorated in a neutral, country-cottage style and comfortably accommodates five guests, with a welcoming, fully equipped kitchen-dining area and a separate living room with a log burner downstairs and two bright and spacious bedrooms (one double, one triple) and a family bathroom upstairs.
The fully equipped kitchen has a lovely stone floor, with underfloor heating, and looks out to the courtyard from the double sink. It features an electric oven and hob, fridge-freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher, 4-slice toaster, kettle and microwave, plus all the crockery and glasses you need for a self-catering stay.
At the far end of the Kitchen is a large, rectangular table that comfortably seats five guests and looks out to the garden to the front of the property.
Between the Dining Area and Living Room is a door out to the garden and patio with a rack for hanging coats.
The cosy, dual aspect living room features a woodburner in a feature brick fireplace with an armchair tucked in an alcove beside the fire – the perfect spot to curl up with a book and a glass of wine! The living room also has two sofas, a coffee table, and a smart TV.
This pretty and spacious bedroom, with exposed timbers, overlooks the garden below and the farmland in the distance. The bedroom is furnished with a standard double bed with bedside tables and reading lamps, a wardrobe, chest of drawers with a mirror and has a Velux window (with a blind). Note: the main window is kept locked to prevent a risk to young children – the key to open the window is in a security case on the timber beam.)
The light and bright bathroom, which sits next to Bedroom 1, features a full-size bath with an over-bath shower, a toilet, wash basin and a heated towel rail.
This spacious and bright room sleeps three guests in one standard double and one single bed, both with bedside tables and reading lamps. The bedroom has a small built-in wardrobe and a chest of drawers. The head of the double bed is offset from the single, providing a little privacy.
At the front of the cottage is a small, fenced garden, with a lawn, patio, and seating, which looks out across the farmyard and surrounding farmland. The garden is dog-friendly/dog-proof (unless your dog can jump above waist height). Guests with dogs are welcome to walk them around the surrounding farmlands (please stick to the outside if the field is planted). A charcoal BBQ is provided (please bring your own supply of fuel).

Owl’s End is on a working farm, and at certain times of the year, there is more activity than others. In the summer (August/September), while the owners are harvesting, tractors and a trailer will be coming backward and forwards filling the grain stores, which are situated close to the cottage. This will not impact your stay, but is something to aware of, particularly if you have young children or dogs.
Please be aware that under no circumstances are additional guests above the maximum capacity allowed at the property, for day visits or overnight stays.
Owl's End is one of five Oosland Barns holiday lets and can be booked with The Granary for families or friends wanting to travel together but have their own space. You can share the properties between your group, but please bear in mind you would not have enough seating to necessarily sit/eat together. (Both properties are dog friendly and accept a maximum of two dogs each, with a fee per pet payable on booking.)

Beautiful property. Warm and cosy. Lovely location.
Fantastic spacious accommodation with everything you could possibly need. Host was very quick to respond to a query we had during our stay. 5 of us stayed for a 30th birthday celebration and whilst slightly off the beaten track the barn was within easy driving distance of several places of interest and we had a brilliant weekend!
Great place to stay - plenty of space and well kitted out. We really enjoyed our stay!

The Barn was very comfortable and very clean. It had a small enclosed garden which was safe for dogs or children, there was a picnic bench where you can eat meals and three chairs that were more comfy to sit and relax in. The location was very quiet, it was just a short walk 15 minutes into Bidford on Avon village where you can get a fab meal at the Bridge eatery.
There was everything you need in the kitchen, washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs, etc, Bathroom; loo rolls, shower gel, soap etc, However, the signage to Oosland Barns is very small and easy to miss the first time as we did, the satnav said you have arrived and we missed the dirt track, once you knew where it was it was easy.

A lovely barn conversion very tastefully undertaken, everything we needed for our short break. The accommodation was as described, access via key safe nice and easy, communication with our hostess was good and very helpful.
