Lily Barn has been styled in a minimalistic and modern way and is in a location that makes this an ideal retreat for couples looking for a base from which to explore the beautiful Cotswolds. The open plan design is spacious and airy with a large bedroom and bathroom, perfect for two. Lazy evenings under a starry night sky can be spent in the wood-fired hot tub, which is for the exclusive use of Lily Barn from 01 May - 31 October. The barn is within 1.5 miles of two popular pubs and the medieval Cotswold town of Winchcombe is only 3 miles away.
Please be aware that under no circumstances are additional guests above the maximum capacity allowed at the property, for day visits or overnight stays. If you are found to be in breach of this, you will be asked to leave the property and reported.
Lily is the largest of three barn conversions - sitting at the end of the row - in the quiet hamlet of Gretton Fields. The simple, modern styling will appeal to those looking for an easy place to return to after days spent discovering the delights of the Cotswolds. Set at the end of a short residential drive, Lily Barn offers clean lines and a modern, polished style with views across the neighbouring property to tree-clad hills.
Inside this single-level accommodation, you’ll find all the practical creature comforts needed for a self-catering holiday. There’s a generous open plan living space, including a kitchen and dining area, and a large bedroom with a spacious bathroom with a bathtub and a separate walk-in shower. The high ceilings have Velux windows ensuring plenty of natural light, whilst outside there is a small patio area with a bistro table and chairs where you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee or an evening drink. To the end of Lily Barn is a wood-fired hot tub, screened for privacy, and a great spot to relax and rest weary legs that have been walking the Cotswold trails.
Step through the entrance door into a spacious, airy open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area. Lily Barn has pale wood-effect flooring throughout, softened with rugs in the living area and bedroom. The double-height ceiling adds to the contemporary design.
Immediately in front of you is an L-shaped kitchen area. The sleek units house the electric oven and hob, microwave (not shown) fridge with freezer compartment and a handy washer-dryer. Two Velux windows in the high ceiling provide plenty of natural light.
To the right is a spacious living area with a large chaise-longue style sofa for cosy nights in, complete with wooden occasional tables for resting your drink, and a smart TV. There’s a window to the front and two further Velux windows.
A square table sits to one side with four stools, creating an adaptable dining space for guests.
From the living area, there is a door to the spacious bedroom, which has a super-king size bed in front of a feature wall, which adds a gentle hint of lily-green colour to the room. There’s an alcove with hanging space along with bedside tables with reading lamps, a full-length, free-standing mirror, and a chest of drawers. The bedroom also boasts a smart TV. To one side a large window lets in natural daylight.
The generously sized bathroom has a bathtub, large walk-in shower with two shower heads, de-misting mirror with shaving point, W.C, and a handbasin. A large, frosted window to the side floods the room with light whilst the heated towel rail keeps it warm and toasty. The bathroom can be accessed from the bedroom and the main living area.
Immediately outside the front door is a paved patio area with a table and chairs for two. A wooden portico runs the length of the barns making it possible to sit outside, even in inclement weather. To the end of Lily Barn is a large, wood-fired hot tub, enclosed from view and for the sole use of guests staying in Lily Barn. (Please note: The hot tub is available for guests' use from the first day of May to the last day of October, and therefore will be closed from the first day of November to the last day of April - irrespective of the year).

Before I get into the details of Lily Cottage I will start by saying, this is the BEST cottage my partner and I have stayed in and we have stayed in a lot! The land has 3 converted stables and my god they are impeccable! We stayed in Lily Cottage - which has a big hot tub to the side of the property which is completely private. The cottage looks out onto a big plot of land which you can hear the cows and sheep on the working farm near the cottage - this didn’t bother us at all during the night and some days we did not hear them. The cottage was incredibly spacious - clean, cosy and very fresh - especially being newly built. And I am pretty sure that the bathroom is bigger than our bedroom at home with a stunning bath AND walk in shower. There is plenty to explore if you would like too otherwise it’s an incredible place for relaxing. I couldn’t recommend this place enough and I would love to make this an annual visit!

A beautiful cottage in an amazing location. We wanted somewhere that we could relax and be able to walk to the local pub - Lily Barn ticked both boxes. The hot tub is the icing on the cake - the cherry would be if you provided some bath robes for when you get out. The seating area outside the front door is perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine and a good book. We will definitely come here again when we need another recharge.
Gretton Fields is a peaceful hamlet close to the charming town of Winchcombe and Sudeley Castle - one of the Cotswolds most popular attractions, both of which are within a ten-minute drive. The pretty Cotswold village of Broadway is eight miles away whilst the charms of Regency Cheltenham Spa are less than ten miles away.
