Full Description
Laurel Cottage makes a wonderful first impression, welcoming you with a short stroll along its perfectly picturesque front garden. Combining the most sought-after country-cottage must haves you discover a chic home highlighted by original features.

Warmed by both the woodburning stove and wonderfully comfortable furnishings, you feel at ease as soon as you step inside. With both the living room and central sitting area you have a choice of how to spend your time so you can make this space your own. The children can watch TV while you share a glass of champagne, or you can all gather for family game night. Pulling open the doors to the garden you can expand the kitchen/diner, bringing the outdoors in for meals together. Two first floor bedrooms and a ground floor single offer a lovely retreat and for a real taste of luxury, take time to yourself for a soak in the clawfoot bath.

Safely enclosed by Cotswold stone walls, the dog can play while leisurely evenings are spent glass in hand as the sun goes down over village rooftop views. From your doorstep a circular footpath to Bibury takes you to the much-photographed cottages of Arlington Row and nearby visit Cirencester, Burford and Cotswold Water Park for a day full of adventure.

Looking across the front garden, the living room is a comforting space to relax and spend time with your friends and family. Sink into the sofa with a good book chosen from the selection available, light the fire and let time pass you by. The dramatic cloakroom is just what you need for getting ready to head out for the day. Decorated in a deep grey it is a contrast to the other light rooms found at Laurel Cottage.

Kitchen/Dining Room
Full of light with high ceilings and beautiful exposed beams the kitchen becomes the hub of the house. A very sociable room, you can keep the chef of your group company and set the table for an elegant meal. Made for roast dinners and satisfying home cooked meals the Rangemaster has plenty of space for all your courses and you will find cupboards galore for stashing supplies brought from home.

Utility Room
At the end of the kitchen, the utility provides extra space to sort your holiday laundry keeping it out of sight and out of mind as much as possible. A washing machine and tumble dryer make easy work of these necessary tasks.

We had a very relaxing stay at Laurel Cottage. The cottage was pristinely clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you need for preparing and cooking meals. Lovely, comfortable outside seating. The bathroom was a very good size and beds very comfortable. Walking distance to a pub with great burgers and a corner shop should you need anything. Great location and a quiet neighbourhood. Loved the property.

Location

One of the undiscovered Cotswold villages, Coln St Aldwyns will delight anyone who wants to be immersed in the Cotswold countryside, have a memorable Cotswold experience, yet avoid the hustle and bustle of the Cotswolds’ tourist hot spots. As with most Cotswold villages, Coln (as the locals call it) is steeped in history, with a perfectly maintained, 13th-century Norman church and 17th-century coaching inn, the New Inn. As you stroll around the village, you’ll find endless photo opportunities to capture beautiful, honey-coloured, Cotswold limestone cottages backed by pastoral, rolling countryside.
