A visit to Heythrop Zoological Gardens is a truly unique experience. They are not open to the public on a day-to-day basis their exclusive and meaningful animal experiences are by appointment only.
Heythrop’s mission is to educate guests on animal welfare and behaviour, advance animal training standards worldwide, and inspire the next generation to be guardians of the wildlife on our planet. It is an impressive ethos and one which is strongly upheld. An Exclusive Visit includes a guided tour of the premises with one of the highly experienced trainers. They will talk about the animals; the film work they do and their history. If you have ever wondered what it would be like to be a professional animal trainer. If you want to know more about the care of animals in captivity, versus their life in the wild, this is an incredible chance.
The Animal Encounters are a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Enjoy one-on-one interaction with a range of animals making them the perfect gift for a wildlife lover. Take a walk on the wild side with a European Timber Wolf. Or get up close and personal with resident Llama’s Annie and Jolene. Meet the Chapman Zebras or one of the beautiful Two-Toed Sloths. Heythrop is also home to two magnificent African lions, Bengal tigers, a Pygmy hippo, and penguins. Encounters are available for all of these.
Heythrop Zoological Gardens also offer animal adoption packages, which help toward the care, health, and welfare of the animals. It makes a wonderful gift, and the recipients receive a certificate of adoption, fact sheet and photo of their adopted animal.
