42nd East Bakehouse
Stow-on-the-Wold
Food & Drink Experience
42nd East Bakehouse, which has cafes in Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Norton and Chipping Campden, specialises in tempting New York-style desserts and sweet treats. Its individual New York-style cheesecakes, drizzled with either Bueno or Biscoff sauce are only available on Saturdays – the perfect weekend treat. It also offers all-day brunch, with a range of sweet and savoury options, from pancake stacks and pastries to avocado on toast and classic bacon sandwiches. Or simply sit back and relax with a tea, coffee, hot chocolate or milkshake.
In its Digbeth Street cafe in Stow-on-the-Wold you can also sign up for a Baking School, so you can see what goes on behind the scenes in the bakery and bake with the expert guidance of the bakehouse manager. Each session lasts up to an hour-and-a-half, in which time you will make a box of four cookies. You can choose your flavour of dough, filling and topping for your own custom box. Originally from the north of England, 42nd East Bakehouse now has three cafes in the Cotswolds. Guests of Bolthole Retreats can enjoy a 20% discount online, where you will find boxes of cookies and brownies, as well as whole cookie pies. Visit the Guest Login for more details.
