The Model Village
Bourton-on-the-Water
Family Friendly Experience
Discover the quirky one-ninth replica of Bourton-on-the-Water at The Model Village. It is a Grade II listed attraction that is centred on the 1930s, showcasing what the village would have looked like. There are no cars, a miniature River Windrush with bonsai trees surrounding it, and even a congregation singing in the tiny church.
Children will feel like giants as they wander around the attraction, which is the brainchild of a pub landlord that took five years to build. Adults will also enjoy the many humorous photo opportunities being a giant in a village has to offer. We recommend exploring The Model Village and then visiting Bourton-on-the-Water afterwards, to discover the life-size versions of the buildings.
To note: As The Model Village is a one-ninth scale replica, many of the paths are too narrow for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Dogs are also not allowed.
