The Big Feastival
Kingham
Events Experience
Month: August
The clue is in the name. The Big Feastival accordingly combines some of the biggest names in the music industry, along with award-winning, Michelin-starred chefs and incredible street food. The brainchild of Alex James, Blur bassist-turned-cheesemaker. The Big Feastival is set on his undeniably beautiful farm in the heart of the Cotswolds.
Set across 3 days over the August bank holiday this is a fabulous, undoubtedly family-friendly festival. Evoking a timeless appeal that spans the generations. There are a number of stages spread throughout the festival site. This includes the main stage, which is generally the heart of the festival. Alex James’ Cheese Hub, is a double-storey venue with guest DJs and especially cheese. The Exchange Stage was new for 2023 thus bringing a venue for comedy and discussion to the Big Feastival for the first time. The smallest of the music stages is The Bandstand, but it showcases an array of quirky and eclectic acts across the weekend. The Sundown Saloon is an outdoor music stage in the Smokery, and thus as the name suggests you should expect country-inspired tunes.
The food offering at the Big Feastival is also as important as the music. The Big Kitchen plays host to an exceptional array of chefs, all demonstrating their skills. Past chefs include Jamie Oliver, Lisa Goodwin-Allen, Jude Kereama and Nathan Outlaw, to name a few. There’s a cookery school, both for adults and children. Likewise, an incredible array of street food options, VIP dining and watering holes to keep festivalgoers well-fed and watered. Throw in the now-iconic vintage funfair, likewise arts and crafts. Plus the Big Top and an impressive line-up of family-friendly entertainers and you then have the perfect recipe for a fabulous festival on the farm in the Cotswolds.
Individual day tickets along with 3-day weekend tickets are available. Dogs, apart from assistance and guide dogs, should be left at home.
