Ben Axford

At Your Cottage Experience

BBC MasterChef finalist Ben Axford has been offering his luxury bespoke fine dining service across the Cotswolds since 2007. His modern take on British, European and Japanese dishes has won plaudits from food critics from The Times and The Observer.

As a uniquely talented chef and food writer, he has a highly innovative repertoire of dishes. Based in Cheltenham, Ben provides his services across the Cotswolds and beyond. As well as reaching the MasterChef final, he is a seven times Academy of Chocolate medallist and previously ran the CheeseWorks fine food shop in Cheltenham. Ben also once cooked for Tony Blair and former Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern at 10 Downing Street, as well as for Michelin-starred chefs at The Savoy.

Just imagine having a private chef and waiting staff in the comfort of your holiday home, cooking an exquisite menu specifically catered to your tastes. Sample starters could include star anise and orange home-cured salmon, shaved fennel and apple and fennel marmalade or porcini mushroom tortellini, coffee-braised onion petals, Madeira reduction and tarragon cream. For the main course, be inspired by dishes such as seared and roasted tenderloin fillet of Gloucester Old Spot, black pudding croquette, salt-baked celeriac and pickled turnip or oven-based black cardamom hake, cauliflower puree, puffed spiced spelt, garam masala butter sauce, coriander, green chilli and onion instant chutney. Last but not least, dessert could be a delicious Madagascan chocolate marquise in chocolate cocoa pod, passionfruit curd and basil cream or blow-torched glazed peach, caramelised brioche wafer, buttermilk ice cream and raspberry vanilla gel. From three-course dinners to nine-course tasting menus, Ben can tailor a meal and experience that will leave you and your guests with lasting memories.

Enjoy bespoke modern British, European and Japanese fine dining from BBC MasterChef finalist Ben Axford.
