Sally, the owner of Cotswold Pure Botanicals, has long been a candle fanatic. However, when she delved into candle-making methods, she learnt that some processes of candle production included non-sustainable ingredients and chemicals, and wanted to create a candle that not only was a delight to enjoy, but also a delight to make.
All Cotswold Pure Botanicals candles use renewable soy wax, pure essential oils, and lead-free cotton wicks or wood wicks. The ingredients are derived from nature’s plants, herbs and flowers, and are all pure and not tested on animals. Not only that, but each candle is also hand made in the Cotswold countryside, where the surroundings are meadows and wildflowers. Sally carefully chooses each fragrance for the effects they can have on your mood as you enjoy the scents. From relaxing to invigorating you will find the best candle to suit your room.
Following her sustainable ethos, Cotswold Pure Botanicals help you reduce your waste by providing refillable candles. Once you have burnt your first candle, you can melt out any remaining wax. The refills come without a container and you pop them straight into your original holder. This means you can try all of the different fragrances without all the waste and save yourself some money.
You can learn to make your own candles with Sally at her workshops. These two-hour sessions walk you through the process, so you leave with two hand poured container candle. All materials are provided, and you get to enjoy the experience with homemade cake and a hot drink.
