From forests to festivals, Charlbury continues to grow
Charlbury began as a small clearing in the ancient royal hunting ground of Wychwood Forest. While little remains of the forest today, Charlbury has maintained its historic roots. Various 17th and 18th century Cotswold stone buildings line the streets, giving a warm golden glow to the area.
The rural town is constantly bustling – the original prosperity of Charlbury came from glove-making, but now it is a cultural hub, hosting an annual beer festival, the famous Wilderness festival at Cornbury Park, and various sporting events. It’s known as the small market town with a big heart
Charlbury combines both historic features and modern events, with our properties as characterful as the town. Discover them below.
