Take an insider’s tour of stunning Grindstone Mill

Posted: Wed, 20th May 2020

We are super-excited to announce the launch of Grindstone Mill… A stunning, three-story, 6-bedroom (sleeps 12), 4-bathroom holiday home in a magical setting on the outskirts of the village of Alderley in the southern Cotswolds, close to Wotton-under-Edge. Surrounded by a beautiful garden and untouched Cotswold countryside, with the original mill course running directly in front, Grindstone Mill is secluded yet is just 6 miles from Badminton, 10 miles from Highgrove, 20 miles from Bath and 23 miles from Bristol. With two reception rooms (both with fireplaces), a study and a very spacious open-plan kitchen-dining-living room, Grindstone Mill is the ideal property for a group getaway or a family with support staff.

Click on the 3D tour below and enter the world of this very special property. You can watch a video of the Mill, jump between floors (there are three), look at the ‘doll’s house’ view or check out the floorplan!

The tiny and ancient village of Alderley lies two miles to the south of the bustling market town of Wotton-under-Edge. Alderley is surrounded by beautiful countryside that seems as untouched as the village’s 16th and 17th century homes. Its location, close to the Little Avon River and between two brooks, made it the perfect setting for wool mills, Grindstone Mill being one of those with its picture-perfect mill course directly in front of the house. Guests can walk to The Fleece Inn at Hillesley, and join the Cotswold Way National Trail or the 625-mile long Monarch’s Way – both less than a mile away.
